The Beast 10k 5th February 2017
What a race!! New course records were set by 1st male and female winners....

The weather held out for the race, but the rain overnight ensured conditions were soggy underfoot. The race saw 187 runner take part, with quite a few tackling their first ever 10K (Wow). Andrew was first over the line just ahead of last years winner Eamonn. Sharon was first for the girls smashing last years winners time of 48:32 set by Angela Jones. Everyone enjoyed the race and the marshals certainly helped with the entertainment on route. Cakes flew off the stall back at the life centre where the prestigious award ceremony took place...... 1st place received a very warm bottle of Lambrini, with 2nd place receiving a much needed Mars bar whilst 3rd go the best of the bunch with a Snickers bar. Well... what do you expect for £3 entry which included chip timing??? Already looking forward to next years race. Thank you everyone that took part and to everyone that helped out on the day.
